The Odyssey Trust comprised of the Stena Line Belfast Giants, The SSE Arena, Belfast, W5 Science & Discovery Centre, W5 LIFE (Learning Innovation For Everyone), and the Odyssey Car Park, The Odyssey Trust is one of the Northern Ireland’s leading education and leisure operators – welcoming upwards of one million guests every year.

Who we are

The Odyssey Trust is the charity that was established to hold, manage, safeguard, and develop the investment in the Odyssey project for the benefit of all the people of Northern Ireland. Our primary charitable goals are; to advance public education and contribute towards the advancement of scientific knowledge by maintaining W5, and to provide facilities for leisure and recreation at the Odyssey site, including The SSE Arena, Belfast, in the interests of social welfare and improved conditions of life.

The SSE Arena, Belfast - Situated in the heart of Belfast’s iconic Titanic Quarter, The SSE Arena, Belfast is an indoor multi-purpose venue, with an audience capacity of up to 10,800. Welcoming upwards of 800,000 visitors every year, The SSE Arena, Belfast has attracted countless international performers, sporting events, and exhibitions and conferences, and has established itself as key location on major European and World tours. 

Stena Line Belfast Giants - The Belfast Giants made history in 2000, becoming the first professional ice hockey team on the island of Ireland. More than two decades on, the Giants call The SSE Arena, Belfast home, and have brought high-energy ice hockey to millions of fans over the last 23 years. 

W5 - First opening its doors in 2001, W5 (WhoWhatWhereWhenWhy) is Northern Ireland’s award-winning science and discovery centre, offering over 250 world-class exhibits across eight interactive zones, and welcoming upwards of 285,000 guests every year.

W5 LIFE - W5 LIFE (Learning Innovation For Everyone) is The Odyssey Trust’s 20,000 sq. ft state-of-the-art learning centre, dedicated to addressing the skills requirements of Northern Ireland’s increasingly digitalised economy.

Odyssey Car Park - The Odyssey Car Parks, serving the entire development, contain a total of 1,500 parking spaces across the front, rear, and overflow car parks, including 60 designated disabled parking bays.
