For over 40 years, we have worked to promote equality, inclusion, and human rights for disabled people through a range of services, support programmes, and advocacy efforts.
Our mission is to empower disabled individuals to live independently, achieve their full potential, and participate fully in society—whether that’s through meaningful employment, access to education and training, independent living services, or influencing public policy.
What we do
At Disability Action, we provide a wide and impactful range of services across Northern Ireland, including:
Employment and Training Programmes: Supporting people with disabilities into, and within, meaningful work through tailored pre-employment programmes, workplace support, and partnerships with employers. Advocacy & Advice Services: Helping individuals navigate barriers in areas such as education, housing, benefits, transport, and independent living. Transport Services: Offering accessible transport to ensure people with disabilities can travel freely and access their community. Community Engagement: Collaborating with local organisations, government, and communities to foster inclusive practices and influence disability-related policy. Disability Awareness & Inclusion Training: Delivering training to businesses and public sector bodies to improve workplace inclusivity and accessibility.
