Alongside this role you will be completing the course Building services > Level 4-5
The Building Services Trainee shall assist the BSM team with various activities that range from tender through to aftercare. A Summary of these activities are noted below:
Assist with carrying out design reviews of Mechanical and Electrical Designs at Pre-construction Stage for
Design & Build Projects and Construction Stage for Traditional Authority Design Projects, under the guidance of your Graham Building Services Mentor.
Attend project meetings with the Client, designers, specialist contractors and other team members where required, to provide technical advice pertaining to MEP Services to the Graham Construction Project and Design Managers.
Assisting Site Teams in the management of the quality and co-ordination of MEP installations onsite under the guidance of your workplace mentor ·
Provide technical assistance to the Site Management Teams for any MEP issues that may arise onsite, under the guidance of your workplace mentor
Work with the Site Management Teams to ensure they build to suit the MEP installation.
Provide technical assistance to Site Planners for review of the MEP Supply Chain members Technical Submissions and Requests for Information documents prior to their release to the Client/Designers for formal response.
Assist Line Manager in the development and implementation of the Project Commissioning Plan
Assist in the review of Supply Chain Inspection and Test Plans prior to release to the Client for approval.
Assist the Project Planners in conjunction with the MEP Supply Chain members with developing the MEP installation, testing, and commissioning programmes for projects ensuring that they align with the construction activities.
Assist Line Manager in the management of the commissioning process and Client training exercises associated with the MEP installations on a project.
This job description is intended to give the post holder an appreciation of the role envisaged for the Building Services Trainee/graduate and the range of duties to be undertaken. It does not attempt to detail every activity. Specific tasks and objectives will be agreed with the post holder at regular intervals.
Technical Competencies

Previous qualification in a mechanical or electrical field
Demonstrate strong communication skills.
