The starting annual base salary will be commensurate with the successful applicant's age, experience and apprenticeship level.

The successful candidate will join our production team at Ballymena Quarry and will be trained in all aspects of maintenance (i.e. mobile and process plant).

The appointed apprentice will be mentored by an experienced fitter.

The role will include maintenance support for the following disciplines. 

• Mobile plant including tractors, forklifts, excavators, shovels, dump trucks etc.
• Process plant including crushers, screeners, asphalt & concrete mixers, and block makers, etc.
• Facilities equipment including generators, electrical distribution, pumps, sprinklers, dust suppression, traffic management etc.
• Basic design and drawing for guards and equipment repairs and modifications
• Fabrication and manufacture of guards and tooling attachments
• Fault identification, analysis and remedial action and or improvements as required
• Equipment safety inspections and testing and subsequent report completion
• Adherence to all Company Health and Safety standards and active promotion of safe working practices on the use of machines and equipment
• Assist with any other reasonable duties as required by the Location Manager
