We are recruiting a Marketing & Business Assistant who will contribute to our marketing, communications, and business operations.
We may also hire through a placement year or graduate role but are really keen to explore an apprenticeship.
You will gain real-world experience in marketing, customer engagement, and business support — and be part of a small, purpose-led team making a big impact.
Marketing and Communications
- Assist with creating and scheduling content for social media, blog posts and email newsletters.
- Keep the Workplus website up to date with opportunities, blog content and news.
- Support media requests and case studies by preparing questions, scheduling calls and helping capture stories.
- Monitor and engage with our social media channels.
- Create visual content and graphics using Canva.
Business Operations
- Respond to queries on the Workplus virtual helpdesk (from applicants, employers, educators).
- Help with our presence at events, careers fairs and school visits.
- Maintain contact and activity data using Notion and Hubspot.
- Provide admin support across projects, including meeting prep, follow-up and reporting.
Learning and Development
- Learn how we use tools like Notion, Hubspot, Canva and others to manage our work.
- Gain insight into how marketing campaigns and employer engagement projects are delivered.
- Receive mentoring and support from our experienced team to grow your skills and confidence.
- If joining as an apprentice, complete the Leading Customer Operations degree apprenticeship at Ulster University alongside your role (typically one day a week release to university).
