The Estate's Service section is part of the Parks and leisure directorate of the Council, the work includes;

1. Mechanical, electrical and building services functions
2. Energy and green renewables 
3. Contract management and annual order management 
4. Capital and minor project works
5. Estate and  strategic asset management; and
6. Estate's Systems and data software

This placement will provide students with the opportunity to gain an understanding of the Estates and Asset Management within Local Government, including sessions with Estates Management and Officers to gain experience and awareness of the roles;

1. Estates Project Officer
2. Estates Contract Officer
3. Estates Services Officer
4. Estates Systems and Data Officer
5. Estates Business Support 
6. Estates Lead Officer
7. Head of Estates 

The placement student will:

1. Assist in the review and feasibility of energy projects (wind turbines, solar panels and hydropower)
2. Assist in the development and process of the Estates Management software
3. Assist in the review of contract management performance
4. Assist in the delivery of mechanical, electrical and building service maintenance works
5. Assist in the review of planned maintenance expenditure (i.e. profiling)
