About the Role:  

We’re growing and looking for a motivated and detail-focused person to join our team as a Trainee SHEQ Advisor. This is a full-time role where you’ll receive support, ongoing training, and hands-on experience to develop your expertise in safety, health, environmental, and quality compliance across a diverse and dynamic business.

You’ll work alongside experienced professionals and contribute to the continuous improvement of our Integrated Management System (IMS), helping to ensure our operations remain safe, efficient, and compliant with industry standards.

Working Hours: Mon–Thu 08:00–17:00 (45-min break), Fri 08:00–16:00 (30-min break)

What are we looking for

What We’re Looking For: 

We’re looking for someone with a positive attitude and a strong interest in building a career in safety, health, environmental, and quality compliance. 

As a Trainee SHEQ Advisor, you’ll need to be: 

  • Motivated, reliable, and willing to learn 
  • A confident communicator who can work well with others and build relationships at all levels 
  • Organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to keep accurate records and follow procedures 
  • Proactive in spotting issues and helping to find practical solutions 
  • Comfortable working in a hands-on, varied role across different departments and sites 
  • Able to use Microsoft Office and digital systems to record data and create reports 

It would be great (but not essential) if you also have: 

  • Previous experience in a SHEQ-related role, particularly in construction, waste, or heavy industry 
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety, Environmental, or Quality standards (e.g. ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001) 
  • A relevant qualification or training in SHEQ, auditing, or compliance 
  • A full UK driving licence (essential due to travel between sites)
