Advice from Scott

How do you know where to begin?

Advice for your education path

  • Don't panic - you don't need to have everything figured out right away. Take a breath and explore your options.

  • Choose a path that interests you and challenges you to grow; opportunities will present themselves as you progress.

  • Get involved in activities beyond your studies - sport, cadets, clubs - they build skills and character that will serve you well.

Advice for your next steps after school

  • An apprenticeship gives you the best of both worlds - building real industry experience and progressing your studies at the same time.

  • Don't be afraid to explore different paths - finding what suits you is more important than having the perfect plan from day one.

  • Make the most of every opportunity that comes your way - all you need is a willingness to succeed and the rest will fall into place.
