Cranswick country foods

Cranswick Country Foods (Ballymena) is one of the UK’s largest food producers, committed to our simple ethos of creating authentically and sustainably made British food without compromise.

Our people are at the heart of our business – from the farm to the factory, they deliver exceptional food experiences. We were founded on expertise, but we are also entrepreneurs, seeking out opportunities, encouraged by our culture that allows great commercial ideas to flourish.

About us

Cranswick acquired our Ballymena site from Dunbia in 2016. The site is in Cullybackey, a small village outside Ballymena, Northern Ireland. Employing just under 500 people, we are proud to be one of the largest Agri Manufacturing businesses in the area. We have some employees who have worked on site for 30 years or more.

We work closely with the farming sector to ensure we have supply of good quality British Red Tractor assured pigs for our customers. We currently export to China, Canada, Philippines, South Korea, South Africa and Europe.

We have a highly skilled workforce who have tremendous passion and commitment in producing quality products to our customers specification.

School engagement opportunities

We believe that partnering with schools and building meaningful local relationships will allow Cranswick Country Foods to prepare for future employment requirements.  This will enhance our brand recognition and reputation.  We believe that the provision of a potential NVQ and Essential Skills qualifications will enhance recruitment prospects for our local young people.

“I have worked at Cranswick for around 4 months and enjoy daily challenges. The training helps me progress in my role and build strong relationships with peers and managers. I love the hours, earning while learning, gaining skills, higher pay and NVQ”
