Position: Engineering Apprentice
Reports to: Head of Engineering
Role Overview: Based at our Lurgan site, we are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Engineering Apprentice to join our Engineering team. As an Engineering Apprentice you will play a pivotal role in the design and manufacture of manufacturing solutions, addressing global industry and construction challenges of today and future applications. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Key Accountabilities:
Assisting with the engineering team as and when required with open projects.
Producing CAD drawings and bill of materials for current and new product designs.
Assisting with product testing and NPI projects.
Proactively identify product trends and future applications and opportunities.
Driving cost reductions via engineering change (part design or process improvements).
Be given direct responsibility for capital projects, including the design, installation and commissioning to help develop project management skills and responsibility for a future career
Ensure compliance with industry design and safety standards.
All other duties as deemed necessary by the Head of Engineering.
Associated Responsibilities:
Providing technical support to internal teams including Commercial, Operations, Marketing and Procurement.
Collaborate and contribute to wider CRH group product and solution developments.

Experience and Training:

Experience using engineering or design systems would be advantageous.
Essential Criteria:
GCSE Maths and English is essential.
Seeking an apprenticeship in a Manufacturing, Mechanical or Design, or engineering related field.
