About the role

We are seeking a proactive and highly motivated Intern to join our team and support various aspects of our business, from administrative tasks to live event operations, databases, and marketing. This person will provide essential support to ensure the smooth running of our festivals, events, and other contracts. They will gain hands-on experience across multiple areas, including administration, operations, marketing, and live events, making this an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about pursuing a career in the music and festival industry.

The paid internship offers a dynamic learning environment where the intern will work closely with different departments on day-to-day tasks and long-term projects. During live events, the intern will play an active role in supporting operations, giving them valuable real-world experience.

Key Responsibilities

Administrative Support

  • Assist with general administration across all our projects, ensuring the smooth operation of daily tasks.

  • Organise and maintain databases, including managing contact lists and event-related documentation.

  • Provide administrative support for team meetings, including preparing agendas and taking minutes.

Operational Support

  • Support live event planning and on-site operations, including liaising with suppliers, volunteers, and team members.

  • Support on day - to - day office tasks and assist with stock management for merchandise and event materials.

  • Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient event logistics, including venue setup and breakdown.

Marketing & Content Support

  • Help manage and schedule content for AVA’s social media channels and website.

  • Provide creative input for marketing campaigns and assist with content creation (e.g., social media posts, email newsletters)

  • Support the AVA Rep Team and volunteer coordination efforts to boost engagement and ticket sales.

Event-Specific Contributions

  • Assist in the planning and execution of live events, ensuring smooth communication and coordination with all stakeholders.

  • Serve as a point of contact for event-related queries, addressing attendee, sponsor, and partner needs.

  • Collaborate with the team to enhance the overall attendee experience during live events.

Other Duties

  • Assist in preparing presentations and proposals for stakeholders and partners 

  • Work closely with the team to implement and maintain project management tools and workflows.

The Ideal Candidate Will Be/Have

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Highly organised with the ability to work well under pressure.

  • Self-motivated, hardworking, and enthusiastic with a hands-on approach.

  • Flexible and able to prioritise multiple tasks effectively.

  • Experience with Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).

  • Familiarity with project management tools like Notion

  • Understanding of social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.) and current trends.

  • A passion for music, culture, festivals, and events.

  • Bonus: Skills in video and image editing software.
