Apprenticeship Overview

This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills and experience by working as an H&J Martin Apprentice. Apprenticeships give you the opportunity learn and develop within a supported environment in an organisation committed to your professional success.

As an H&J Martin Apprentice, you will fully commit to the off-the-job training (college) requirements of the post alongside your normal day-to-day job and you should strive to achieve the relevant qualifications that will enable you to demonstrate high levels of competence in your role.

As an H&J Martin Apprentice, you are expected to engage with the additional learning and training opportunities that arise within the normal course of business.

As an H&H Martin Apprentice, you will be encouraged to use the support on offer to maximise the benefits to your professional development.

What you'll do

Your duties and responsibilities will include:

Pre Contract

• Assist Estimator with take off quantities for tendering / cost plan purposes

• On Site pre measurements

• Preparation of bills of quantities

Post Contract

• Drafting of subcontract particulars and assistance with subcontractor procurement

• Assist the QS with the preparation of valuations

• Auditing of subcontract accounts

• Updating of project cash flow models

• Assist the QS with measurement and agreement of Project Final Accounts

• Attend site meetings & prepare subcontractor payments

• Other duties as may be required from time to time depending on the needs of the business
