Position: Engineering Apprentice  

Reports to: Head of Engineering

Role Overview: Based at our Lurgan site, we are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Engineering Apprentice to join our Engineering team. As an Engineering Apprentice you will play a pivotal role in the design and manufacture of manufacturing solutions, addressing global industry and construction challenges of today and future applications. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Key Accountabilities:

  • Assisting with the engineering team as and when required with open projects.

  • Producing CAD drawings and bill of materials for current and new product designs.

  • Assisting with product testing and NPI projects.

  • Proactively identify product trends and future applications and opportunities.

  • Driving cost reductions via engineering change (part design or process improvements).

  • Be given direct responsibility for capital projects, including the design, installation and commissioning to help develop project management skills and responsibility for a future career

  • Ensure compliance with industry design and safety standards.

  • All other duties as deemed necessary by the Head of Engineering.

Associated Responsibilities:

  • Providing technical support to internal teams including Commercial, Operations, Marketing and Procurement.

  • Collaborate and contribute to wider CRH group product and solution developments.
