Apprentice Electronic Technician

Raptor photonics is a company driven to provide world class cameras to the scientific and surveillance markets.  We are looking for an Apprentice Electronic Technician who can work within a team of skilled engineering personnel in order to give maximum production output and service support to the business.  This role will allow the selected candidate to develop key hands-on knowledge in electronics in a fast paced company while studying their HND or Foundation Degree.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Apprentice Electronic Technician will:

• Be responsible for the assembly, testing and packaging of electronic products for deployment

• Complete production line schedules, including planned production and support maintenance

• Fault find down to component level

• Work closely with R&D to bring new products into production.

• Ensure timely completion of build and test records within the computer-based production system

• Order relevant equipment, materials and spares

Essential Criteria

• Studying an Apprenticeship course in Electronics or related Engineering field

• Ability to work efficiently under minimal supervision to meet deadlines

• Good IT literacy skills

Desirable Criteria

• Relevant manufacturing experience, preferably in an electronics environment

• Fault finding experience, diagnostics testing, packaging and deployment
