Alongside this role you will be completing the course Engineering - Bus/Rail Maintenance > Level 3
A Body Technician Apprenticeship is four years in duration. With today's modern vehicles, a combination of skills in areas such as Sheet Metal, Body Building, Painting and Vehicle Trimming is essential. To ensure that adequate training is provided, we take Apprentices through a combined course leading to an NVQ Level 3 Coach and Bus Body Qualification.
This approach is designed to equip our Apprentices with the know-how and skills required for the future and to instil confidence in the Apprentice ensuring they are competent in all aspects of vehicle body maintenance and repair.
Apprentices attend college one day per week with the remaining four days spent at a Translink workshop for practical application of the college training plus more on-the-job training.
Applying to the course:
Please note that for this role at Translink, applicants apply directly to SRC for their apprenticeship course once they have received an apprenticeship offer.
