About the Role:  

We’re expanding and seeking a motivated, detail-oriented individual to join us as a Trainee Quarry Manager. This full-time, entry-level position includes comprehensive training, continuous support, and practical, hands-on experience. You'll build a solid foundation in quarry operations, gaining skills across production, health and safety, environmental compliance and team leadership, with the goal of progressing into a quarry management role. 

You’ll be part of a supportive team environment where experienced professionals will mentor you as you take on real responsibilities. From day one, you’ll contribute to daily operations, problem-solving, and continuous improvement projects — all while developing leadership skills and gaining a clear understanding of how different parts of the business work together.

Working Hours: Mon–Thu 07:00–16:30 (45-min break), Fri 07:00–16:00 (30-min break)

What are we looking for

What We’re Looking For: 

We’re looking for someone with a positive attitude and a strong interest in building a career in safety, health, environmental, and quality compliance. 

As a Trainee Quarry Manager, you’ll need to be: 

  • Motivated, reliable and willing to learn 
  • A confident communicator who can work well with others and build relationships at all levels 
  • Organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to keep accurate records and follow procedures 
  • Proactive in spotting issues and helping to find practical solutions 
  • Comfortable in working outdoors and in a hands-on, varied role
  • Able to use Microsoft Office and digital systems to record data and create reports 

It would be great (but not essential) if you also have: 

  • Third level qualification in Mechanical Engineering/Civil Engineering or HND level specific to the quarrying or road construction industry  
  • A basic level of technical understanding of quarrying environments and extraction systems 
  • Previous experience in quarrying or construction industry – it is advantageous, but not required  
  • A full UK driving license (essential due to location of the Quarry)
