About the role

Work Experience @Lloyds Banking Group, Employability & Specialist Skills 3-days Belfast

Youth Campus: Work Experience Insight Programme @Lloyds Banking Group

This is a 3-day Work Experience Programme for students aged 14-18

On your first day come to the main reception at 9:30am and the receptionist will sign you in and provide you with a name badge & lanyard. The Event team will come and pick you up at 9:45am. You'll be teamed up with other work experience students for the time that you are with us, so you will have other people your own age to help you including colleagues from the business.

We’ll start with an induction where we’ll cover health and safety, and logistics like where the toilets are. We’ll tell you lots about what the company does, and about roles at the company.

On your first day  your team will be given challenges and projects to work on, which will end with a presentation. The presentation will be about how you can help a company increase their profit. You and your team will have dedicated time to work on this when you aren’t doing something else.

Each day you will hear from colleagues in different roles in the company, and skills based activities to introduce you to careers in that area but also to help you build skills that will help your future career journey.

During the 3 days you will explore Employability & Specialist Skills needed for future careers in:

  • Technology Engineering
  • Cyber Security
  • Legal & Secretariat
  • Data
  • Finance

You will be given challenges and projects to work on which will help you put the skills into action and explore different roles across Lloyds Banking Group.

You'll also get the opportunity to explore Interview Skills and learn from experienced colleagues the tips and tricks to excel at interviews.

On the final day you will be given access to our dedicated student platform 'Imagine What's next', where you can access information, events, vacancies including apprenticeship opportunities and mentors that can help you during and after your work experience placement.
