We are looking for keen and committed apprentices to join our Civil Infrastructure teams. AECOM is an internationally recognised leader in consultancy, giving our clients a range of services including planning, design, project management, asset management, contract management, site supervision and asset support services. Our team in Europe is constantly expanding; with a number of exciting opportunities now available for apprentices to work within our Civil Infrastructure teams (Water, Ports, Power, Highways, Transportation, Structures, etc.) across the UK and Ireland, with opportunities to support operations in Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Our teams deal with a range of different projects across the globe working with funding agencies, national and local governments, highways authorities and private organisations. Successful candidates will work on projects from initial concept through to construction and operation on small to large high profile projects with a variety of clients. Our current portfolio of works comprises a diverse mix of local, national and international highway and infrastructure improvements.

You will combine work-based on-the-job training and learning with further studies and will have opportunities to progress your career. You will be working a hybrid between the Belfast office and home 4 days a week and attending College 1 day a week. You will be responsible for your own transportation to both locations.
This position is ideally suited to school leavers at A-Level (or equivalent) or those considering a career change who can demonstrate the following:
Show an aptitude towards software-based engineering and use of digital tools e.g. Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Computer Aided Design (CAD) and other similar digital software
Demonstrate an interest and a desire to pursue a career in civil infrastructure
Bring commitment to continued education and improvement through on-the-job learning and training opportunities
Be creative, practical, adaptable and enthusiastic
Demonstrate ability for attention to detail
Develop ability to think in a methodical way to design, plan and organize parts of projects
English language proficient, holding excellent communication skills to present information in speech, drawings and reports
Minimum of 5 GCSE’s (or equivalent) at grade ‘C/4’ or above, including Mathematics & English
Three A-Levels (or equivalent such as a BTEC Level 3 in Civil Engineering) including Maths and a physical science at grade 'C' or above - essential for Level 6 Degree Apprenticeship
Some work experience or shadowing in an engineering environment would be an advantage
