 The student will be shadowing the Quality Engineering team to gain practical experience in ensuring product quality standards, process improvements, and the application of engineering principles in quality assurance. The placement will provide exposure to the tools, techniques, and methodologies used to monitor and improve product quality within a manufacturing or engineering environment. 

Quality Control Observations:

• Shadow the Quality Engineering team during routine product inspections and quality control processes.
• Learn how product samples are tested and how measurements are taken to ensure compliance with quality standards.

Data Collection and Analysis:

• Assist in collecting data related to product performance, quality inspections, and production processes.
• Support the team in analysing this data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and quality issues.

Collaboration with Other Teams:

• Work alongside different departments, such as production, engineering, and procurement, to understand how quality engineering integrates into the wider company processes.
• Learn how feedback is provided to other teams to help improve product quality and manufacturing processes.

 By the end of the placement, the student will have a thorough understanding of the role of a Quality Engineer in ensuring product quality, identifying areas for process improvement, and applying quality standards in a manufacturing or engineering environment. The student will also develop practical skills in data analysis, documentation, and root cause analysis, which will provide a solid foundation for future studies or roles in quality engineering or related fields.
